Hi, I’m Glenda!
My passion is helping others. I want to empower people to lead a healthier, happier life. A little about me, I am the mother of a beautiful little girl. I am a dental hygienist, a health science educator, and a practicing herbalist for over 19 years.
My health journey has been a long one and started at a young age. Being overweight as a young teen, I didn’t understand the importance of food quality or portion control. I tried fad diets, medications, and different weight loss and healing methods, but most of these were short-term answers to long-term problems. In my early 20s, I suffered from endometriosis and had to have surgery which did not put an end to my pain. After suffering from endometriosis, chronic abdominal pain, stomach distention for years, and a hospital stay that only landed me back home 4 days later with bottles of laxatives and suppositories, I decided enough was enough. I needed to take control of my health, and it started with the foods I was consuming.
Once I started listening to my body and understanding the importance of what goes into it, I started to see and feel a difference. I started to lean toward a more homeopathic lifestyle.
As a health science teacher, my students became my kids, and just like my daughter, I wanted to lead them to a healthier lifestyle. This is when I finally decided to start WhiteSugarRebel on Instagram. Here is where I would share knowledge that I had and spread awareness to not just my students, but to anyone who would listen.
Being an herbalist, natural home remedies were a staple in my home. I shared products I made for my home with my family and close friends to start. Soon other friends were asking for this nameless immunity booster, tinctures, and remedies that I had been making and using for myself and my family.
As it coincided with the theme of my page, one day I was making an herbal syrup in my story, a simplified version of one I’ve used for myself and my family for years. Now strangers were asking for it for their families. I was reluctant at first, but then decided it went along with everything I stood for… clean, honest, natural products to use for our families, so I decided to share it. Since it is so hard to find clean products on our store shelves, I decided I would give others exactly what I use in my home. Thus was born the Rebel Berry line of products. Starting with the original Rebel Berry Immunity Booster. Since then, I have also created an Immunity Builder, Cough Syrup, Cough and Congestion rollers, Vapor Rubs, Herbal Teas, and various herbal tinctures.
It has been an amazing journey so far, and my absolute passion is helping people to live a more healthful, happy, and clean lifestyle. The Rebel Berry line of products has blown up since introducing it on Instagram, and I look forward to spreading health and awareness to anyone I can reach.
